Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004. Bro John spent his early years in Washington and Montana. And as many know he played his collegiate football at Stanford University. He has a degree in Economics.

On June 10, 2011, Richard Dreyfuss was made a Mason “at sight” by the Grand Master of Masons of the District of Columbia. He was also made a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason the same day.

Making a Mason “at sight” is a power and prerogative in many jurisdictions for a Grand Master to declare a man to be a Master Mason with an abbreviated ceremony. Such events are quite rare and reserved for very special cases.

This was done in response to the “Dreyfuss Initiative, a research society promoting civics and enlightenment values founded by the actor.

Shaquille O’Neal NBA Hall of Famer, Actor and Singer was made a Master Mason “at sight” by the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Massachusetts the evening of June 12, 2011.

His legendary status in basketball is well known. Since 1992, after being drafted No. 1, he has played for six NBA teams and set many records.

Influenced by his step-father’s military background and devotion to service, Shaq has made public service a priority in his life, making untold donations to charities across the country.

Born December 9, 1898 in Sedan, Kansas. Ohio. Began as a cartoonist In the early 1920’s he joined the Circus as a trapeze performer and occasionally as a white face clown.

By 1931, he was a full time clown at the circus. His charter was modeled after one of his early cartoon characters.

He worked for a number of smaller circuses before joining the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus in 1942, where he appeared until 1956. Upon leaving the circus he work many clubs, trade shows and resorts.

He belonged to the Scottish Rite and of course the Shrine.

Well of course not, but the man of a thousand voices, Melvin J. Blanc ( May, 1908— July, 1989) was a Mason.

Brother Blanc was virtually every major Warner Brother’s cartoon characters voice except for Elmer Fudd.

Brother Blanc was perhaps best known for the voice of Bugs Bunny (1936) and Woody Woodpecker (1940).

Over the years, Blanc received many awards from civic organizations. Among them were the Show Business Shrine’s first Life Achievement Award.

One of Blanc’s favored charities was the Shrine Hospital Children’s Burn Center.

The story of his life is colorful, unique and exciting. Author Buntline, writer of “Dime Novels” made Cody’s life bigger than real life. Nevertheless, even the “bare bones” of Cody’s life and adventure are fabulous and enjoyable.
